China Beyond The Wall (CBTW) – Censored in China for your Delight

This blog magazine was born in December, 2009 and is updated, edited, and managed from within China – to be exact, from its pulsating cosmopolitan heart.

Our aim is to provide YOU with a vantage spot for understanding modern China, where both casual and expert readers can access and contribute to a reliable and updated guide on everything China.

Another blog on China?

Yes and no. We plan not to be one of the many blogs hurriedly set-up by some expats living in China, splurging an indigestible amount of daily ramblings on how weird “the Chinese experience” is.

We know that understanding China is hard and the quantity of information available on the Web is staggering. ”So”, we asked ourselves, “why not create a one-stop source of the best information about China?”

Who’s behind CBTW?

The creators of CBTW know each other through their academic interest in China. We all share a deep love for China. Some of us are engaged in academic careers, others are trapped in the rat-race.

Is it all free?

Of course! Although, like everybody else, we have hosting and annexed costs. Donations and/or advertisement suggestions are more than welcome!

I love China as well. Are you looking for contributors?

Definitely. We would love you to ‘have your say’ and post an article on CBTW about ANYTHING China-related that interests you. Simply send us an article.

Thanks for stopping by,

The CBTW team.
